It is with sadness that we learned recently of the passing away of Rod Norville. He was a fine opening batsman and wicket-keeper who played throughout the 1970's. His opening partnerships with Rod Smith often laid the foundation for the very successful First XI of that period.
Rod helped bring a number of talented West Indian players to Enfield and beyond his playing ability will always be remembered as a gentleman and great guy to be around.
Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
Rod's service will be after a private family cremation and then be at 12 noon at St. Michael's Parish Church, Beccles, Suffolk on Thursday 7th November.
