A note from our Chairman.

Dear all,

I hope you are all well and enjoying this fine spell of weather, together with the thrilling Test matches and T20 cricket.

The Club has had a steady start to the season with the 2’s and 3’s, under Jason Sarna and Zeeshan Munir, holding their own. The 1’s are struggling at the moment, though we have a great opportunity this weekend as we take on Barnes at home, during Julie's first President's Day.

The Colts section is going from strength to strength, with numbers more than doubled from last year and great participation from parents. A fantastic investment for the future.

The tennis courts are full of players but injuries and non-availability means matches have sometimes been difficult. The Football section rests while preparing for the new season.

The reason I am writing this note? We have to remember we are one Club. Club's go through ups and downs in performance, but EVERYBODY in the Club wants all sections to do well.

Please come down to the matches. Support your team. Encourage the players. Stay positive. The players really appreciate your constructive support and advice. Be mindful that people are trying their best and harsh criticism is not helpful or welcome.

Keep your eye on the Club website where many social events are advertised. The next being our highly popular Comedy Night on 1st July. (Tickets from Dickie Baldwin at richardjbaldwin@icloud.com) .

I hope to see as many of you as possible at Lincoln Road over the next few weeks. Cheers and here’s to the rest of the season!

Best regards,

Shay
