An update from the Chairman

Since my last update plenty has been going on as we build towards the summer season of sport. Both cricket and tennis have their signing in nights in the diary and cricket nets have begun.

To support the playing side of the Club we are plotting out a feast of social events to cater for all tastes. Quiz night challenges, regular music at the Club, a Comedy Night, a cocktail night and a Saturday night BBQ. Later in August we are also planning a prosecco tea especially for the long suffering ladies - a sort of Ladies Day at Ascot but without the horses or Royal Family!

Dates for the diary and more detailed posters and information will be circulating soon enough.

In addition to the traditional Good Friday painting party we may well be hosting an early season cricket friendly. This could mean an early start for the workers and more selective painting tasks but a good opportunity to get a mixed Club side into action with a local challenge.

Well done as always to the members both on and off the Committee who are putting time and creativity into the per-season action plans and things are looking good.
