Here's the latest Club results

The 1s continued their impressive run of form by defeating Harrow St Mary's at Lincoln Road, earning a seventh successive victory to maintain their promotion challenge. In front of a sizeable crowd for President's Day, the visitors were invited to bat first and a good bowling and fielding performance helped restrict them to 233-9 in 55 overs. Les Edwards (3-57) and Andrew Mitcheson (2-32) were the most successful bowlers, with three wickets also falling to run outs. For Harrow St Mary's only Sam Blennerhassett (63) managed to provide real resistance.

Our response got off to a disastrous start as firstly the dangerous Neville Talbot was run out without facing, then Chris Long was caught at midwicket to leave Enfield 12-2. And when Jack Plumb (28) also perished the game was finely poised at 80-3. However, the rest of the day belonged to overseas player, Max Houlahan. The 20 year old from Moree, in his second season at the club, played an imperious innings, combining defensive solidity with attacking intent. He received good support from Edwards (38) and Asad Shah (25*) but Houlahan was the fulcrum of the innings. Watched for the first time by his holidaying parents, he pulled and drove any loose deliveries with style, bringing up his second club century with a six and finishing the game on 131*, having struck 21 fours and 2 sixes from just 95 balls in a superb display of batsmanship, as we reached 234-4 in 39.3 overs.

The 2nd XI held on for a draw in an entertaining game at Shepherds Bush. The hosts batted first and amassed a highly challenging total of 280-4 from 50 overs. Our response saw first Matthew Sarkies (46) and then Tom Marsh (59) help to provide a platform while Tyrone Grier (60) then carried the fight to the Bush but wickets fell regularly and ultimately the total proved too much to overhaul meaning we had to hold on for a draw, finishing on 236-7.

The 3s made it back-to-back wins with a strong performance against local rivals, Winchmore Hill. An opening partnership of 55 was followed by quick wickets, before Tom Horne (49*) and Dan Naughton (32) steadied the ship, helping us reach a total of 198-9 in 48 overs. In reply, Winchmore Hill struggled to get going and lost quick wickets, including a rarely seen obstructing the field wicket, and were eventually dismissed for 147.

Next week the 1s travel to, while the 2s host, North London and the 3s visit Old Actonians in games that signify reaching the halfway point of the league season.
