The League AGM was held on 6th December, here's a run down of the decisions and how they'll affect us.

The MCCL met on 6th December for their AGM, here's the link to minutes from the meeting.

Here are the major changes that will affect us:

(i) Mandatory use of Coloured Kit and pink ball for Limited overs matches in the Premier League - approved. Whilst this doesn't immediately affect us, should the upcoming season prove successful it will.

(ii) Optional use of Coloured Kit and Mandatory use of pink ball for all 1st XI limited overs matches outside the Premier League - not approved (didn't reach the required two-thirds of votes).

(iii) Merger with 1987 League, fully operational for 2019 Season - approved. From the 2019 season, the 1987 League will form part of the MCCL, i.e. Division One of the '87 League, will become Division 4 of the MCCL.

(iv) Adoption of “2 up - 2 down” between 3rd XI Div. 3 of MCCL and Div. 1 of 1987 League for the “Transition” season of 2018 - approved. For the upcoming season, this will replace the "1 up - 1 down" system that has existed until now.
