Chairman Cricket

On Thursday 18th January the Club held a very positive and productive
Annual General Meeting. All of the cricket playing captains and
administrative officers were appointed with a good mixture of
experience and youth.

The membership at the meeting included past Presidents, Life Members,
our principal Club sponsor and members across all age ranges. It was
a terrific representation of the Club and showed the interest that all
members have in understanding how the previous year developed and what
we can do to drive onwards and upwards both on and off the pitch in
the coming year.

An immediate challenge is to attract more players of all ages, talent
and playing positions into the cricket playing ranks. We need
committed people as well as those who might only be able to commit to
certain weekends or matches. Every member has a role to play in
considering who they know who can play and would come to our Club
where we know they will enjoy great facilities, professional coaching
and a fantastic atmosphere all around. It could be a friend, a
relative, a work colleague, a grandchild - anyone really!

We have winter nets coming soon which is a great chance to introduce
new players to the set up. Beyond just playing the benefits of being
a member at Enfield Cricket Club are so much wider with an all year
long facility at a social and vibrant family focussed club.

If you know someone and want to approach them or have one of the
cricket playing officers or even myself as Chairman to call, just do
it. Let us help build our numbers and strength with your help.

Thank you

Peter Fairweather
Chairman
Enfield Cricket Club
